The name Alan Gregg is one that has resonated with Kiwi music fans since the 1980s, first as a member of cult favourites Three Leaning Men, then as a member of Dribbling Darts of Love and The Mutton Birds, before founding his Marshmallow project some twenty plus years ago. Now, Gregg is back with his utterly delightful new indie pop project Polite Company, and a brilliant new album called Please Go Wild. Polite Company is a new project from London based songwriter Alan Gregg. Alan is a former member of New Zealand band The Mutton Birds. Set for release on May 24th, Please Go Wild offers a plethora of beautifully crafted pop vignettes, instantly catchy yet cleverly disguised nuggets of information and social observation. With a 'Fountains Of Wayne' inspired sense of wit and awareness Gregg has delivered a wonderful solid gold power pop nugget.
