Lennon (Limited Edition 8-LP Boxset)

Eight of John Lennon's solo albums will comprise a new, nine-LP vinyl box set called Lennon. Each record has been remastered from its original analogue master and has been cut to 180-gram vinyl from an ultra-high-res digital file and packaged in artwork that faithfully replicates its original U.K. release. The box set will come out on June 9th, while individual copies of the albums will come out on August.

Most of the albums are currently out of print on the LP format. The records included in the box set are John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, Imagine (complete with the two postcards and poster it came with originally), Some Time in New York City (with its original postcard), Mind Games, Walls and Bridges (with fold-over flaps and an eight-page booklet), Rock 'n' Roll, Double Fantasy and Milk and Honey. The LPs are collected in a rigid slipcase box. Close-up images of the art are available on Lennon's website.

Yoko Ono and engineers at Abbey Road Studios and New York's Avatar Studios remastered the records from Lennon's original mixes in 2010. The new vinyl masters were cut at Abbey Road.
