Very smart vinyl with a good cover showing sticker removal residue.

The last true album put out by Ike & Tina Turner before the definitive (and not peaceful) disbanding of the duo could be the rawer, rougher of their career as well as the least accurate in arrangements and song selection; the monotonous and modernist approach of Feel Good is back here but the whole album seems to have been recorded in a hurry: the songs are overloaded, overweight of near-random synth/guitar/brass loots which do not normally allow the melodies to breathe.

That said, Tina Turner's influence in the sound seems to be again pretty relevant, if we assume true the compositive credits on Feel Good: her performances anyway are never particularly enlightening and sometimes even weak (Higher Ground) and risk to be submerged by the hodgepodge of instruments boiling behind her.
