Released on ABC/Dot Records on January 17, 1977, Visions was the follow-up album to Harmony, and a shining example of what was quickly becoming Don Williams’ signature sound. Laid-back vocals, in addition to spot-on phrasing created a winning combination and a unique sound coming out of Nashville. "Some Broken Hearts Never Mend" became Williams’ fifth number one hit, in a string of what was to become seventeen number ones in total.
