A Timeless Peace (12")

very rare smart clean LP with a good cover showing minor marks .

This album is one of the most sincere, musically-enduring Flying Nun releases that never saw the light of day.  The song writing is top notch and deeply introspective without ever broaching on corny.  It's beautiful throughout, the highlights being De Reske & Dylan and Up and Down.  It's a sensational 45 and is, in my humble opinion, a much more rewarding listen when set beside any of the Verlaine's releases.  It's like an unintentional masterpiece of a 45, so good without even the slightest notion or expectation of commercial success.  It sounds like art for the sake of personal catharsis, and Alastair Galbraith just happened to come to music at a time when the surrounding influences were so extradinarily good that his pool of inspiration was so unpolluted that he managed to hammer out two incredible EPs that are unique but absolutely canonical to any fan of Flying Nun.
