Very smart clean double album housed in a nice crisp gatefold cover.
This two-LP set gives listeners a fine overview of Charles Mingus's classic Atlantic recordings. Drawing from four seperate sessions covering a five-year period, this two-fer is highlighted by "Moanin'," the wild "Ecclusiastics" (which features Rahsaan Roland Kirk), "Haitian Fight Song" and "Reincarnation of a Lovebird." Better to get the complete sessions but this sampler is a strong introduction to his exciting music.
