(1979 'Isabel') Pure Pleasure Neuauflage / Re-issue. Characteristic and electrifying are only two attributes that make Buddy Guy in the history of the blues probably unique. On good evenings there is no one in the world who could hold a candle to him. However, despite his great talent but there are currently very few studio recordings that will meet this genius. Its producers wanted him either traditionally supposed to sound (eg in the style of '50s Chess Chicago blues sounds) or modern (like a bad copy of Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton). Only once it was produced just right, and the result is this album. After a few mediocre albums in the 60s and 70s finally let someone guy playing in the studio with that creative, carefree insouciance that regularly brought the audience to a boil in his live performances.
